Should you ever need to recalibrate — for example after travelling or if the scale has been dropped — the process is straightforward. Place a known 200g weight on the platform, hold the mode button for three seconds, and the scale will recalibrate automatically. A 5p coin weighs approximately 3.25g and a 2p coin weighs approximately 7.12g — these can be used as quick accuracy checks.
